No passion for boxing?

If you have no passion for boxing you should not go into it. You could get very seriously injured. It might be an idea to go to a boxing gym and learn some techniques. If you want to be a competitive boxer then you most train with fire and intensity. The training is the part that will get you were you are going. You must train 4-5 days a week and be consistent with it. This includes roadwork floor exercises bag and mitt punching etc. The fight is the easy part. The every day workouts are what most cannot endure.

Don't push yourself at something you don't have your entire mind and heart for or into. Boxing is a very serious and dangerous sport.

If your not hungry then you wont eat ( so to speak)

You need to believe in yourself and know what you are capable of and/ or learn new skills and become confident in yourself.

If your allways worried about getting hit, youll get hit hard and often.

Then it's not for you......................Perhaps a martial art might be of more interest just for defensive, self protection aspects.

I feel I can become a good amatuer boxer but I just don't have the hunger for it...I always have to push myself to go to the gym, it's never willingly. Part of the reason I might not have the hunger is because I have other things going for me such as college and I don't live in poverty trying to make it out through boxing. I don't know if I should stop boxing and just play basketball for fun or push myself to continue ?
