Oscar could make the fight very competitive in the earlier rounds and even have his moments landing good to look at combinations and outjabbing Benn. But Benn's strength and legendary staying power would begin to take over and Oscar would begin to wilt by the 8th round.
Benn by late round KO.
De La Hoya was a good fighter but you could argue that he lost to the best he faced. Then there is size, De La Hoya was a welterweight/light middleweight at best. True he fought at middleweight but he didn't look natural, he won a disputed decision over Felix Sturm and was knocked out by Bernard Hopkins.
Benn was a ferocious middleweight and super middleweight who was champion in both divisions. Benn had power, heart and was tough and the key is he was a natural middleweight.
Although De La Hoya had slightly better boxing skills I doubt he could withstand the power and ferocity of the naturally bigger Nigel Benn. De La Hoya manages to keep Benn off of him for a few rounds at best but then Benn's power and relentless attacking overwhelms him.
Benn TKO5.
Gotta agree with Doc on this one, Benn would have been too much for the Golden Bay.
size counts and benn would win by ko around about 8/9th rd
Oscar De La Hota? You mean? He's gay he's washed up and all of boxing is washed up
De la Hoya :)
