Mike Tyson via UD RD 12 with wide margins on scorecards. Tyson won't be able to KO or TKO Wladimir, because he's just too big and too tall. But, Tyson would outbox him till the last round. This will be so similar with Tyson vs Ruddock II in 1991.
Prime vs Prime
Tyson by KO RD 5
Whlad fought extremely weak competition for over 10 years. We forget what a good heavyweight, even looks like at this point, and that's why some are confused on how good Whlad really is. Yes Whlad has the size advantage, but that would mean nothing, when your as slow as Whlad. Tyson would stay low, and do circles around Whlad, if he had to. Tyson would dodge, and weave in on Whlad and overwhelm him early, and with Whlad's slow feet, and weak chin, that's a bad matchup.
Hello
Tyson vs prime Francoise Botha → Tyson wins by KO5
Wladimir Klitschko vs fat and old Francoise Botha → Wladimir wins by KO 8
Tyson from 1986 to 1998 is better than Wladimir
Tyson 1988 - 1995 vs Wladimir 2005 - 2010 → Tyson wins by TKO o KO about 6 - 8 rounds
It would turn nothing like the Lewis fight. If anything, Vitali Klitschko's style is comparable to Lewis's. Not Wladimir's, Wladimir has a very bad chin - Lewis and Vitali had good chins.
The Povetkin fight proved to me that Tyson or Frazier would dominate Wlad. Wlad was scared of Povetkin in the ring, and so used illegal tactics (excessively too) to win. There's no way that'd work against Tyson - Povetkin was a sloppier version of Tyson.
Vitali vs Tyson would be much closer. But Wlad get's banged out, Povetkin couldn't apply pressure. Tyson applies pressure, he's faster than Wlad and hits harder. He has an IRON jaw.
Lewis is faster, stronger and a better boxer than Wlad. In fact, an old and unprepared Lewis was able to TKO a prime Vitali Klitschko - That just shows the difference in quality between the Lewis era and the K2 era.
While Wlad may lean and hold, his tactics used against Povetkin would not be allowed in an American stadium. They were very dirty tactics, many people fail to realize is that Tyson's style was tailor made for Wlad's.
In his PRIME?? I'd say Tyson, but by a smaller margin than most suggest. I certainly don't think he would win by KO and even TKO is a bit of a stretch from where I'm sittin. But I just can't see Wlad beating Tyson in his prime. I'd say Tyson wins by a small/moderate margin on the scorecard, most likely UD.
I agree with Big Jazz Prime Mike Tyson in 4 rounds because of Wladimir Klitaschko weaker chin
in his prime Tyson would win the fight id say with 6-7 rounds either by stoppage or knockout. Klitschko's a great champion but I don't think he would have the calibre to have been able to stop Tyson in his prime
Tyson was way past it by the Lennox Lewis fight. Sure; they were the same age, but Lennox Lewis was like BHops [got better with age] while Tyson didn't recover from his first loss almost a decade ago.
How would the fight go?
I think Wladimir can use very crowd-unfriendly tactics to get a decision.
Wladimir Klitschko by either a late rounds TKO ala Lewis or a 120-108 wide UD!
6'7, 35 lbs heavier, better technician, better defense, better jab vs a 5'10 puncher........Get real, people!
If Buster Douglas and Holyfield could beat a prime Tyson then Wladimir would literally toy with him for 10 rounds and TKO him late. Heck, Tyson even lost to Danny Williams. The people who say that a non prime Wlad lost to Sanders, I would like to remind them that their hero lost from F-U-C-K-I-N-G Kevin McBride.
What are your opinions on this?
I like to think Tyson could beat Klitschko but in reality i think it would turn out just like the Lennox Lewis fight.
Klitschko would move backwards most of the time allowing Tyson to come forward and get worn down by constant jabs and get leaned on whenever he gets to close. Tyson throws many punches in early rounds but misses due to Wlad stepping back or to the side. Tyson would soon burn out then get KO in 8 or 9th round. the crowd is disappointed and thought it was boring.
However with Tyson's beek a boo style of boxing could he have avoided many jabs? Klitsckho throws a jab to far missing Tyson then Tyson throws a left to chin then KO!

The moment Tyson lost his trainer Cus D'Amato and went in/out of prison, he had lost his edge. I think more so with the loss of his trainer due to him being the only person to really make Tyson listen and train hard. Have the Klitschko brothers go against a prime Tyson before prison and during the time Cus D'Amato was alive and they would be stomped pre round 6.
Tyson -- 5'10", 215 lbs.
Wlad -- 6'7", 245 lbs.
This is a no-brainer.
