Mike Tyson or Mohammad Ali?

Who would win in a boxing match? I am leaning towards Tyson, but what do you think?

Ali would win on points.

Despite his great offensive ability, Tyson could be made to look ordinary when his opponents knew how to move laterally, give him angles, and tie him up inside. Just watch his struggle against James Tillis. He also became less dangerous and effective later in the fight. He would sometimes lose his concentration, become frustrated and neglect to move his head after just 4 rounds.

Tyson's only real chance of winning would be to score a knockout which, is not very likely given that several of Tyson's opponents were able to go the distance with him in his prime. Power isn't the end-all-and-be-all of everything, in fact it's one of the least important things in boxing. In most instances, a great chin like Ali's will nullify power.

Tyson was strong and fast enough to have beaten Ali, but that wouldn't have happened because Muhammad was very smart. He knew how to deal with bullies and he would've psyched Tyson out as he did with George Foreman who, back in the day, was a 6'4" version of Mike Tyson. Ali would taunt and insult Mike before the fight and get him real mad come fight time, and we know that once Tyson gets angry, he pretty much loses his concentration. He'd try to "kill" Ali with one punch instead of bobbing, weaving and throwing combinations. And since Ali was fast on his feet, he'd just dance around while jabbing, hold Tyson in a clinch when under attack and spin out of trouble. Rope-a-dope wouldn't even be an option for Ali because Tyson is smaller and he could hold Mike at bay by just sticking and jabbing. Now, how would Ali win? Well, Tyson starts like a house on fire trying to end a fight right in the first round. If he got past 5, he'd be tired and his punches would lose steam. That's when Ali would start battering him with shots until finally stopping Tyson by the 7th or 8th round as what he did with Liston and Foreman.

Muhammad Ali faced harder stronger punchers than Tyson. To name some; Eernie Shavers, George Foreman, Sonny Liston, Ron Lyle, etc.

These guys stronger and some bigger than Tyson. In fact; Tyson dodged an old wrinkly George Foreman who stylistically could have done him like he did Joe Frazier [who was very similar to Mike Tyson.

Ali could take all of those mens power, and then some.

Tillis danced very similar to Ali and he won several rounds and finished the fight against Tyson, Tillis was much slower than Ali. I believe that if Ali used the same strategy as Tillis [dance and hold when Tyson gets close] Ali would have won a confortable 12 round ud, but if it was a 15 round fight Ali would have knocked Tyson out [he never fought for so long and Tyson tended to gas out].

Still; there is no denying that Ali would have taken Tysons punches without much problem. George Foreman unquestionably punched harder than little Tyson [who dodged an old Foreman].

Who's the greatest fighter Tyson beat? Michael Spinks? An old Holmes making a comeback? Who?

Ali would win 2 out of 3 fights between the 2. Tyson would win the first but ali would adjust and win the next 2. Tyson only knows 1 way to fight and that's going forward. Tysons ferociousness and speed would overwhelm ali in their first fight, but in the next 2 fights, ali would use his boxing smarts to adapt

Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. Of course.

i think Mohammad was good in his day, but if he had of met Tyson in the ring he would have got hurt bad ..

Ali would of won easily.
