Eddie Mustafa Muhammad lost a highly disputed decision to WBA World Light Heavyweight Champion Victor Galindez, Argentina, in Italy, in Nov, 1977, in a fight marred by head butts and low blows. Mike Rossman defeated Victor Galindez, by a TKO13, to win the WBA Title, in the New Orleans Superdome, on Sept 15,1978, on the undercard of Ali vs Spinks 2, televised live on ABC, narrated by Howard Cosell. Rossman would lose the WBA Title back to Victor, on April 14,1979, by a TKO 9, as Mike surrendered on the stool due to a broken right hand. Eddie Mustafa Muhammad had very quick reflexes, good defense, and a good right hand. Mike was also a heavy hitter, who could inflict a large amount of damage to an opponent. Eddie would stop Mike via TKO 10, Mustafa had too much strength.
Muhammad would have had no problem with Mike rossman. Galindez was the only good fighter Mike ever beat and lost in a re match to Galindez. Mike also was KO'd by Qawi, and Yaqui Lopez.
Nope, Rossman was a one dimensional fighter. I think Muhammad would of stopped him.
Hello Z and great match up. To be honest with you, I think that Irene has a brilliant answer and completely agree with her.
no he could not.
Circa 1978? Could the Rossman who upset Galindez beat the Mustafa Muhammad/Gregory version of this time?
