I'm not finding excuses but if Marcos maidana fail his post fight drug test then their fight should be ruled a NC.
I hope that Maidana is a clean fighter because cheating on this level will ruin his legacy.

People kill me saying Broner is no Mayweather, then on the other hand using the Broner fight to say Pacquaio would've beat Mayweather. Pacquaio avoided Olympic testing, while 12,000 Olympic athletes took the test in 08 to earn a medal and no one cared, so I suspect that even if Maidana failed his test it wouldn't matter to those trying to pass this off as nothing. For 5 years Pacquaio avoided testing, while walking through the biggest and best welterweights in the world (Cotto, Mosley, Margaritto, and De La Hoya), yet he demands that RIOS of all people be tested. Why? Because Pacquaio was aware of what Ariza was capable of... He benefited from it! Turns out he was right, considering Rios failed the drug test. But hey! These are just coincidences... Their is no trainer that will support any of Arizas lies about what happened in the Broner fight... For starters, he's a strength and conditioning coach, not a cut man. Secondly, Maidana was never cut. I call BS, especially when he did that little wipe over the eye brow as a distraction.
I doubt Maidana needs any drugs to beat Broner. This fight wasn't good for Broner and a rematch wouldn't be good for him either. Maidana fought Broner exactly as he should have. He certainly is not going to outbox Adrien.

The way to beat a quick fisted boxer, especially one who doesn't use his legs well, is to crowd him. Marcos has a clear edge in strength and power. If Broner isn't going to attempt to put some distance between himself and Marcos, than what else should Marcos do?

I can't think of ANYTHING good about having Alex Ariza in your corner. The guy is just a cancer to all around him. Team Pacquiao was wise to get rid of him and I don't see him doing Maidana any better. The problem is that most don't expect much from Maidana, even after this fight. For that reason, Ariza gets to hide in the cracks and impersonate a trainer.

Marcos Maidana would beat Adrien Broner in a rematch, especially at 147. The reason this win does little for Maidana, other than give him an alphabet title, is because many felt that Broner was overrated to begin with.

Could just be some BCAA pills - a protein supplement that kicks in pretty quick. I've seen elite marathoner's taking vitamin pills during a race on live tv. Just because it's in pill form doesn't mean it's a banned substance. Might be, might not be. I'm sure they'll announce the results of the drug testing soon.

I don't think Broner is all clean either. Boxing is a brutal sport where you have to be willing to sacrifice your body and health with whatever for the win/ success. We've seen many athletes do it. But i think it was the flying left hook and style that beated Broner. Broner is no Mayweather. But Pac still whoops Mayweather though. He threw away his belt like Riddick Bowe did to not have to fight Lennox Lewis. Understandable.
But since Broner is a genuis, he could quit boxing and keep his brain cells to feed his family. IDK if he just kept demanding to go to college like the loud mouth he is and got it, or is he really that smart? If he is, quit and get an education.
