Marciano was slow on his feet and also a slow puncher. I don't see a guy that is slow on his feet ever beating a prime Ali. Marciano maybe had the power to knock Ali out, but it would be almost impossible for him to catch Ali. Ali would dance around him, and Rocky wouldn't be able to catch him. Some people compare Marciano and Frazier, but Frazier was much faster moving than Marciano and Frazier had rhythm and great footwork, Marciano had no footwork at all and was a slow mover. Ali said that a guy with slow feet would never have beaten him, because he would've never been able to follow Ali's movements. Some maybe argue now that Marciano would outbox Ali in the later rounds with his stamina advantage, but 60's Ali showed us that he could play his shuffle dance and speed game all night long, when he faced Ernie Terrell. Maybe Ali had lesser stamina, but still enough to hold his high speed level for 15 rounds.

The only way Marciano wins this one is to wait till Ali is 37, coming back from retirement . Then Marciano might have a chance.
