I liked the fight tonight a lot, especially for a B-Hop fight. It started slow, but once Hopkins got going and into a groove the fight was fun.
I thought the bodyshots were gonna stop Murat honestly, that combined with B-Hop mixing it up so much.
I loved how B-Hop went all RJJ vs Jeff Lacy in the eighth or whatever is was, standing in the corner and screaming while not even looking during the exchanges. It wasn't RJJ caliber, but still pretty f*cking cool that a 48 year old was pulling it off.
It started off slow but it gained a lot of momentum towards the end. I think in the middle rounds B-hop realized he could win the the fight and even knock Murat out and just decided to play to the crowd.
It was an exciting fight at times but I find myself less amused at Bhop's antics and shenanigans in the ring lately. Maybe it's the caliber of opponents he's been fighting but I'd be more impressed if he tried that sort of thing against someone higher up the food chain.
Was entertaining for me as well always been a huge hopkins fan even though i have been wanting him to retire for a good 6 years or so now. He fought very well and seemed to be enjoying himself in the ring.
Bernard hopkins put on an entertaining fight last night. It was great to see.
it was a messy fight, (it did have its moments of awesome exchanges) but it was Hopkins antics that really made this fight fun to watch...To be honest though, I thought Murat had a decent chance after the first round but he started to gas cause of Hopkins constant body attack.
They should just changes Hopkins nickname to "the troll" cause that is what he did in this fight.
All I can say is I wasn't bored. The worst Hopkins fight for me was when he fought Winky Wright, now that was a snoose fest.
