I hope it's true. Maidana is far more deserving than Khan aside from the fact that he has a title to stake, the WBA version which Floyd has refused to accept in his winning fights versus Robert Guerrero last year and Shane Mosley a couple of years back. Floyd has previously won the IBF title ( from Zab Judah ) and the WBC title ( Carlos Baldomir ) in 2006 prior to his first retirement. He re-won the WBC belt by KO over Victor Ortiz in 2011. He will score a sort of grand slam by beating his third WBA titlist in Maidana and if he finally accepts the WBA title, he would officially be the first undisputed champion since Vic Darchinyan unified the WBA,WBC and IBF super flyweight titles in 2009, beating Daniel Kirilov, Christian Mijares and Jorge Arce. Official records only recognize the unified champions of the original big 3 ( WBA, WBC and IBF) as the undisputed world champion.

Nothing official yet. I think Showtime's not in agreement for Floyd to face Maidana or Khan. They can't afford another flopping match up.

It may be true but trust me these titles can be incredibly misleading. If you look at the quote by Maidana all he is actually saying is that he is waiting for the decision.

'Haye announces he is coming out of retirement' even though he never actually retired, just he was advised to.

'Mayweather says he will decide opponent by next week' this was in December but he never actually said that, he just said he is looking forward to next week which could mean anything but the publisher blew it out of proportion.
