Looking back now.....do you miss Don King?

King, now 80+ is basically no more. He did put some epic bouts together and yes he screwed many fighters including ALI. But Larry Holmes once answered this question by saying.Yes, he screwed all, but without him we never would have gotten the purses we did get.

Don King was a snake in the grass, murderer, who cheated fighters.

He was terrible for the fight game and worse for people under his thumb.

Don King was and is a worthless human being.

The fight game is much better off with fewer, not more crooks.

EWWD, Gone are the days when Don King was really the king of promotions. He (DK) giving us great fights was an understatement. Those were immortal fights and worth your every cent.

Don't forget King tried to convince Floyd to make the megafight happen about a year ago EWWD. It was the time when Floyd begging America to support his azz instead of Pac. And you know what happened. D' King F'KING failed.lol

nope,he screwed a lot of fighters with their money chavez, tyson to mention.

Yes, I wondered where he was.

i'm so sick of this tired azz go-to cliche:

"the next great HW is a power forward in the NBA".....what a cop-out !!! the NBA has been around for 60 years, and the HW division was just fine.....

I'm also sick of the tired azz cliche that Don King didnt elevate the sport to mega star levels....

can we all agree there is absolultley ZERO promotion of the HW division right now?

GBH dont care about Heavies....neither does Arum. those guys are just shills and hacks out to pander to Latino audiences

Don King was the premier promoter of the Heavyweights.....he gave us many great years of Heavyweight action, from Clay vs Foreman, to Tyson vs Spinx, to Holyfield vs Tyson, and i believe even Holyfield vs Lewis

King has been inactive for the last ten years or so......exactly as long as the Heavyweight division has picked up and moved to Kakahkisztan, and completely fallen off the map with regard to mainstream media coverage

all those HATERS always love to run their mouth about King taking advantage of everyone....i'll tell you someone he DIDNT take advantage of, and thats the fans who never appreciated him!!

i WISH Don King was still promoting.

he wouldnt just stand by and let the UFC run shows on the same nights as PPV boxing cards

King would have gotten MayPac signed too, probably 3 years ago...those guys would be getting ready for their 3rd match by now if King was promoting them

and King would have those K brothers defending their belts in the States against young fighters
