Lennox lewis chin underrated?

Yeah, that's very true.

His 2 KO losses are flukes. And especially Rahman fight in 2001, Lewis completely underestimated Rahman that night. Lewis didn't even take the fight seriously as he was filming a movie. And in the fight, you could Lewis asked Rahman to punch him and that left the chance for Rahman to land a haymaker which KOed Lewis. That's a very strong punch.

But, Lewis had a great chin. It was proven that he could took big shots from Tyson back in 2002 in the first round. Also from Holyfield back in 1999 their second fights, Holyfield hit Lewis with some big shots. And of course from Vitali Klitschko in 2003, his last fight ever. Vitali keep hitting Lewis with bombs, yet somehow Lewis survived and won the fight via TKO in Round 6. Vitali managed to KO almost everyone with his bomb, but he can't get the job done with Lewis. That shows how underrated Lewis chin is.

NO not at all if anything there are excuses for why lewis got KO'd by 2 average fighters who neither was a big puncher but now are being mentioned as great punchers ,if oliver mccall was such a great puncher how come frank bruno beat him and went the distance when he was ko'd by every other elite heavy weight. .

Rahman hasn't beaten any fighter that has been rated in the top 10 other than lewis , after lennox he got beat by holyfield, ruiz and drew with tua . Rahman was crude yet he still KO'd lennox.

so was lennox's chin underated i don't think so

As crazy as this sounds and I know I'm gonna get a lot of thumbs down for this but I agree with you. The only reason why people labeled Lewis' chin as "weak" is because of his only two losses which are by KO but people are also denying the fact that both Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman punch very hard and almost any Heavyweight would've been stopped by taking those kind of power shots the way Lewis did.

Sure, McCall and Rahman might not have been great Heavyweights and are piss poor inaccurate punchers but they're at least still in Foreman's class of sheer punching power(Not saying that they match Big George's sheer punching power but they rank up just a shade below guys such as Lewis, Tua, Tyson, Liston, Foreman and Shavers in punching power). Lewis doesn't have one of the best chins but it's certainly not as bad as people make it out to be so I'd say Lewis' chin is slightly above average.

same Lennox Lewis who was knocked out by one single punch in the second round against Oliver McCall?

The same Lennox Lewis who was knocked out by one single punch in the second round against Oliver McCall? The same Lennox Lewis who was embarassed by Hasim Rahman in 2001? Hmmm...I don't think Lewis had a granite chin in any way.

Lewis' chin was not granite, but it wasn't weak either. He could take a punch. Rahman and McCall both have good power. Niether beat him in their rematch.

The only respected champion who has a historically worse chin than Lennox is Wlad, and both have/had potato chip chins.
