At this stage of their careers, 12 rounds, welter weight division. Who wins and why?

It would be a great intriguing matchup between to aging warriors which I think can potentially be made if JMM beats Bardley for the WBO welterweight title and Mosley continues his comeback with another win over a significant or rated foe.

Both are durable and never been stopped in their long, checkered careers despite getting knocked down a few times. Both are always in condition if not for a few nagging injuries.

Assuming that both comes in great condition, I favor Marquez's counter punching over Shane's lead punching and forward-moving style. Many opponents have already exposed Mosley as ineffective once they have defused or neutralize his attacking style from Vernon Forrest, Winky Wright to Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. I also think JMM has more left in his tank and more tricks in his bag.

This would be the first time that Shane gasses out and maybe allow El Dinamita to win via TKO. JMM is a young 40 year old fighter and Mosley is an old old boxer in his forties.

JMM all day! Marquez's game is anchored on smarts and perfect counterpunching strategy so age and lack of speed wouldn't be much of a factor. On the other hand, Sugar Shane's whole game is based on speed and quickness so once he doesn't have them any longer, he's finished.

Marquez by late round TKO. Marquez is better than Mosley.

Damn good match up I got this one dead even. Mosley has a slight size advantage but has more wear and tear on his body, I think this one would be a coin toss.
