Hello Matt and another fun match here! The night that James Buster Douglas defeated Mike Tyson was a great night for boxing as he came into the fight in great condition, showed no fear and actually took the fight to Tyson outboxing and outfighting him and accomplishing what many thought was the impossible. And it wasn't a fluke or a lucky punch either as he was the better fighter the entire night It's too bad that he didn't fight like that his whole career or he may have been a Hal of Famer but it did show what he was capable of. Tyson Fury is a very big man and a powerful puncher but sems to me to be very awkward in the ring at times though he makes up for it because of his extreme height and reach and power. So basing this fight on the very best Douglas vs the best Fury it's really an easy call for me at least at this juncture.
James Buster Douglas W TKO8
If he can beat Mike Tyson then on that particular night he can beat Tyson Fury, Tyson Fury is slow and he has no chin. A cruiserweight by the name of Steve Cunningham knocked him down. However, to be fair to Tyson Fury. We see the best of James Buster Douglas but we didn't see the best of Tyson Fury yet. I think Tyson is still learning and has not peak yet. The best of Douglas will beat Fury now. Two years from now we don't know what type of fighter Fury will become. Ask this question again after the David Haye fight.
You disgraced the good name of Buster and also disgraced that night in Tokyo by even asking this question!!
Tyson Fury is a fraud David Haye will knock him out after the most boring 4/5 round ever. It will look like Haye-Harrison.
douglas is quicker to the punch than fury. buster by 6 round ko.
