It boggles my mind why Nonito didn't pressure Rigo?

He did try at times but Rigo was just way too slick for him, not just with his footwork but upper body and head movement. After mising his target, he would then get poped with very solid shots so I can see why he stopped pressuring him too much. He found some success in the late round where he knocked Guillermo down but that was after a clinch and he had the Cuban's hands tied up a bit.

In the end Rigondeaux was just too evasive, when was the last time you saw a guy of Donaire's caliber reduced to a 3 punch rd in a fight?

Did you see Donaire's face after the fight? That's why he didn't pressure more. In the final round, Donaire tried to come out aggressive but Rigo made him pay and was busting him up. Donaire's only bright moment in the fight was the knockdown, but that occurred after he had shoved/roughed up Rigo and had him out of position. Meanwhile, Rigo was pretty much in control every other moment in that fight.

Rigondeaux ran behind a jab and landed counter shots while Donaire chased him and missed. Impressive for a man with 12 professional fights, but I blame Sugar Ray Leonard, Ray ruined boxing with that style, and Rigondeaux learned by watching Ray. It seems Mayweather isn't the only fighter capable of "not fighting" his way to victory. Rigondeaux frustrated Donaire by only fighting when he chose, and avoiding Donaire when Donaire tried to press the fight. Spectacular performance for the young Cuban, a crushing defeat for Donaire.

Donaire was getting caught with hard left shots everytime he tried to pressure,he was lucky he didnt get knocked out in the 12th round

Rigo clearly punches hard as hell.

Props to Rigo for a smart fight but had Nonito doubled up the pressure, and actually threw punches. He could have won this fight. Rigo kept moving his head to the right.

Nonito fought stupidly, and Rigo made it look easy. If there is a rematch, I hope he learned his lesson, because there was no excuse with this poor performance.
