I know being that you have only 2 fights you are going to be learning at possibly the fastest rate you will be learning at through out your entire boxing career, even if you were to get to the olympics and pursue a career in the paid ranks/professional career. That being said, I noticed that you stated that the 1st round you kept your stance and exchanged hits with your opponent-this may make for a very entertaining fight but also a short career. Since boxing is about hitting and not getting hit-not my turn/your turn, how you fought the 3rd round is how you should fight every round keeping an opponent at the end of the jab and after landing stepping to new and comfortable angles where your opponent is not in any position to land any meaningful punch and you are perfectly lined up to hit them. Boxing is all about being in position and timing these things cannot be learned without the correct training and also with out working on it. Being relaxed while inside the ring is a must and this will only happen with time and conditioning, you will understand the scientific aspect of the sweet science only after correct training and experience which unfortunately there can be no substitute for-some people are naturals while others have a much harder time with this either way-Good luck
sounds good to me but the left jab was meant to be followed up with a right cross
if it ain't broke don't fix it
Im in amateur boxing and have a record of 2-0 so far. Not much, but im proud of it. Well anyways, my first two fight went great and heres how it went, first round my opponenet and i would keep our stance and exchange hits. Second round i would just go at him. Ten the third round, with all my left over energy, id move/weave around him trowing jabs, crosses, and whatever puch i could land while keeping a distance. Good idea? Yay or nay?
