Is there a blueprint to beat floyd mayweather jr ?

No, not really. In truth, the only reason the first Castillo fight was close is because he fought the fight with a shoulder injury. This is not an excuse, I just think it's a fact that is too important to be overlooked, and nobody seems to mention it. He had surgery on it, then dominated the immediate rematch with Castillo.

Despite the split decision win against De La Hoya, I don't really feel the fight was very close at all. I scored the fight three rounds for Oscar last time I watched it, and four rounds the previous two times I scored it. So, at most, in my opinion, Oscar won four rounds against Floyd.

While I admire your self confidence in thinking you could wail away at Floyd's arms, rendering them useless; I think it's safe to say that if it were that easy, someone would have done that by now. Don't you think? In Floyd's case especially, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, I'm talking about his counter punching ability. He's not going to stand there and take a beating without throwing back. It's easy to sit here on the outside looking in and say what someone has to do in order to beat him, but until it's done, I've decided to keep my mouth shut in trying to figure out a strategy. There are people better equipped than me to decide that (professional prize fighters first and foremost, and their teams, trainers, etc.), and we'll just have to wait till someone does it in order to see what works. Till then, he's a puzzle that has yet to be solved. I'll just sit back and enjoy the show in the mean time.

Edit: I will say, however, I don't think you beat him by outboxing him. I think you've pretty much got to knock him out to beat him. Rounds spent trying to win rounds against Floyd are pretty much rounds wasted in my opinion. I say throw caution to the wind and look to hurt him and jump on him and stop him. I think that's Canelo's only out. I don't know who his next opponent is, but I don't see anyone outboxing him so I guess I'm saying that'd probably be their only out as well. Mix up your feints, show some angles, whatever. I think you've got to catch him though.

No there is no blue print on how to beat him Castillo did beat him injury or not but Floyd learned from his mistakes an beat him in the second fight witch was not a complete blow out anyways if I were a trainer I'd mix it up go in there an work the body in the first rounds be a lil defensive in the middle rounds an agressive in the later rounds but always pumping the jab to the body an head through the hole fight because Floyd takes a couple rounds to figure out his opponent then he makes his adjustment this way you have two to three ways of attacking when he thinks he got you figured out you show him something new to figure out think about it they have tried to out punch him bully him body shot him but all those styles were singular never mixing it up I think Canelo can mix up his approaches cause in spots guys have hit him to the body an other guys roughed him up a bit an a few have hit him solid but nobody has tried to vary there attacks just one swing an a miss.

No

Castillo had a close fight with him when Mayweather's shoulder was injured.

De La Hoya did not have a close fight with him. Mayweather completely out classed him.

If you were a boxer, he would embarrass you because you would go in believing your game plan would work, he would take that away from you, and then he would pick you apart.

I don't know if you can win a decision against him, it would be very difficult.

From what I see, you cannot be sucked into his style of a fight. You have to constantly change your attack... go to the body, come upstairs, inside and out. You also can't apply a ton of pressure, you have to attack but make him be the aggressor. As soon as he can predict what you're going to do, he'll start winning.

There are probably a few fighters out there who are able to beat him, but I don't know who they are. Canelo could hurt Floyd, but I don't think he'll beat him.

Yass...Roy Jones Jr vs James Toney.

Eagle's claw vs the Snake's fist style.

But i gaurantee if Jones was in his wieght class, he would have refused to fight Jones becuz of he super left hooks. The snake only wants you to throw that right so he can shoulder it and counter bite with his own right.

the 2 men who have come close to beat him were jose luis castillo and oscar de la hoya and idk if i was a boxer whos physicaly gifted i would pound his arms so bad that he coundnt lift them anymore so there would go his defense
