your grandad doesnt say you are WEAK by physical appearance or in the inner aspect. He just means that bein strong isnt about standing on other people but instead bein strong is the ability of a person to feel how others feel through the HEART and to make decisions that will benefit yourself and others using your BRAIN. It isnt always about brawns and skills, sometimes it takes wits and understanding to be able to stand out above the rest, then only can you say you are STRONG. You dont only stand up for yourself but for the welfare of others.

I think your granddad is trying to say that you should stand up for yourself and not let anyone tell you who you are. I understand that you dont like people walking all over you and that doesnt mean your weak. Hes saying it doesnt matter if youre a big football player as long as youre kind and smart
Life isnt about looks or whatever. Its about being positive and taking risks. He wasnt trying to be rude. He was trying to help by saying life is hard but you gotta be strong and ask and do things you dont wanna do some ti mes, but you just gotta do it. Good luck
