After Khan lost to Peterson and Garcia, he was taken down a notch. I think then people started to see it was more hype than actual talent. Then he "redeemed" himself with wins against Molina and Diaz.
I love watching Mayweather fight, but I am disappointed by this selection. I know he picks his opponents, but this is just as bad as Ortiz and Baldomir. It has no flair, and he is in another class. I usually by Mayweather fights, but I can spend the $60 on this one.
It's very possible that Floyd can get a knockdown. As you mentioned, Khan does not have the strongest chin, and he is susceptible to getting hit with big counters. What you are going to see over the weeks before the fight is a lot of praise and positive PR for Khan.
In reality, this is a breather for Mayweather. He will have three fights to go after this fight. I think he is saving himself. I think when we look back on his six Showtime fights, Khan will be the least deserving of opponents.

As far as recent accomplishments ,there are a lot of fighters that have done more than Khan but Khan is well known because he's been on the big stage in the U.S. and has a strong following in the UK which makes him more marketable than more deserving fighters.
I know fighters like Keith Thurman ,Marcos Maidana ,Kell Brook ,Danny Garcia or maybe Erisland Lara are more formidable than Khan but they're high risk low reward fighters ,boxing is a business.
Khan carries his chin high in the air. He needs to look at B-Hop and Martinez styles to tuck that glassy muthaf@cker in to his chest. Khan is a flashy fighter but he is being overrated because he is even being mentioned as a fight for the top p4p guy in boxing. Have people gone mad? This sport is a business but it is a sport first and foremost. Football, Rugby and NFL are all business's but the spirit of competition is largely un corrupted in these sports.
The best should fight the best. Khan is a bum compared to Pacquiao and Lara.
If Khan wasn't British he would of never got this fight. He's 2-2, in his last 4, and was smashed by Garcia.Khan will run in crazy throwing for the fences, miss everything, lose every round, then even probably get KO' d by Floyd.
