It seems to be the fad now is the bigger they are, the better their chance of winning and dominating given the field we have now at heavyweights characterized by tough but decidedly smaller heavyweights especially those coming from USA, various parts of Europe, Africa and Oceania and big but inept or still inexperienced fighters coming from the all over.
I dare say that the heavyweight champions we have now or for years now specifically the Klitschkos would not have gone as far as they do had they emerged in the earlier eras where the heavyweights were not just about size, strength, power and athleticism.
You
are right the heavyweight division needs a knock out artist kinda of like Tyson. I hope to change this division in 10 years I'm 16 6'5 220 and very strong and play boxing and basketball I hope i can change the Heavyweights
Glass chin and simple styles. Most of the heavyweights these days have terribly easy fighting styles. they just punch a bit, get tired, get dropped...
Heavyweights now are fat lazy bums
I was just reading about all these top ranked fighters like Tyson Fury, David Price, Deontay Wilder....constantly fighting bums until this point. I keep thinking why are they doing this. And it says the promoters are trying to keep them clean and everything. But in a lot of articles I'm seeing that these fighters are labelled glass jaw fighters.
Like deontay wilder and price can't take a punch at all.
Back in the 90s it was packed with fighters like Holyfield, Bowe, Ibeabuchi, Foreman, Lewis, etc. But these guys could take punches and fight back after huge wallops! It's different these days. It seems like most guys are getting gassed out or knocked senseless.
Opinions please.
