If someone has fought in something like the Olympics or Golden Gloves everyone will know about him. Mike Tyson was a sensation by the time he turned pro. Audley Harrison won the heavyweight gold at Sydney but was a joke as a pro. Most guys just get by.
As for hard. How hard do you think it is to make a living by training hard and then fighting a guy who has trained just as hard and wants to win just as much as you do?
Boxing is very tough but with the correct training and genetics e.g. chin, power, will to win it is very possible to be a successful boxer just be sure to only learn the correct fundamentals from a knowledgeable boxing trainer-a former boxer who understands the mechanics of the sport or just someone that has been around boxing for decades-Good luck!
You don't need to be pro until you are ready to start earning real money. It's hard. If you're not dedicated forget it. Get a good trainer for now and then a manager.
Train for many hours. Join a gym. Make a name for yourself in amateur boxing and then become a pro.
Im a 15 year old boxer trying to make it well i just started i know its difficult but how do boxers just get there name out there and when do they start? Or does it start going out there when you turn pro nd win alot of tournaments ????
