Is boxing barbaric for you?

Boxing is about skill, not a barbaric sport. Even the greatest of enemies who trash talk and disrespect each other turn to friends at the end of their gruelling encounter. The men who previously have tried to hurt each other are often found hugging one another at the end because only they know how truly difficult the experience has been and win each others respect. Boxing is about technique, to hit and not get hit, to include angles and movement so as to not let your opponent land a significant shot. A boxer pushes his body to the limit to prepare for a fight physically, and mentally has to be truly "in the zone" to believe in their ability. The ring is a lonely place, the men who choose to be there are warriors who should be respected for what they go through and their entertainment value. If you watch skillful boxers and not the ones who have no interest in defence then you may understand the true art of the sweet science! :)

Nope, it's only barbaric if they made the rules extreme like they did back in the Ancient Greek times. If you actually start watching boxing and pay more attention to it, you'll figure out that it's a great sport for most people who try to stay out of trouble or for those that have nothing else better to do in life. Not saying that you have to like it but if you know the history and the real purpose of boxing, then you won't find it as barbaric as you think.

There are those who try to hit the other guy as many times as possible. Then there are those who put technique into it, and make it an art. I think you've been watching boxing on TV, where they have the mentality of, "POWERPOWERPOWER," and that's what you know about it.

No, MMA is barbaric. You've asked this question before. I'm guessing you're a troll.

Nobody is forcing you to watch boxing, Pierre. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Simple enough, right? You're welcome.

It is about hitting repeatedly the face of an opponent.

I have no respect for the persons enjoying it at least when he comes to wonder why it makes sense for them.

Is there others persons here?

Somewhat I am as an atheist trying to find another atheist in a meeting of leaders of a specific religion (here being amateurs of a barbaric sport) .....
