One of the best. Capable of burning 800 to 1000 calories in 20 minutes. It creates high stamina, cardio, power, helps with footwork, fluidity of motion, and makes one a good fighter.

It is a very good workout.

Yes, it is decent self defense

Boxing is a great work out and its absolutely worth it,knowing how to throw jabs hooks right hands and upper cuts correctly would speed up the learning process so it would help.It makes really good self defence its worth it in the end but make sure you're willing to commit to the beautifully pain full sport of boxing.
