Plenty of great boxers have started your age or even older like current middleweight champion Sergio Martinez who didn't start boxing until he was 20 years old
The only way to answer your question is for you to continue. Age doesn't matter. What's important is that you give 110% to your training and diet.
If you don't, you'll regret it for the rest of your life.
Too young, 19 is better
Okay so I started boxing last year when I was 17 but I haven't had an amateur bout just sparring sessions. Since I'm a Heaveyweight and there aren't many heavyweights my age they usually put me in with professionals to spar. (Of course they don't go full force on me.) But I don't know... Why does 18 seem so old to me? I'm hoping to turn pro as soon as I get enough amateur matches and feel ready. I really want to be the next Heaveyweight champion like you have no idea... That's all I think about. If it was a phase it would've been gone a long time ago... I'm tired of these lackluster heavyweights we have now... I want to being some excitement back into the division. But why does 18 seem old... When I'm not even out of school yet.
