Well, I was impressed..... at first. When you look at his resume, all fighters he has fought are of journeyman status or lower. The best opponent he fought was Owen Beck when he was on a 7 fight losing steak! He has amazing potential, but he needs to step up he level of competition! he needs to fight a fighter who can fight back like a decent contender(ex. cunningham or chisora) or a promising prospect (ex. Bryant Jennings or Malik Scott). If he steps up his level of competition and does not get exposed like Price and Mitchell, then i'll jump on the Wilder bandwagon.
He has a big right hand, but honestly I've seen nothing else in him that makes me say he is a future star. My number one measuring stick for prospects is have they been hit. He has not be hit or tested in any real way. Until then he is a side show waiting to get exposed. I hope I'm wrong though.
You can't knock a perfect record... He also has a 100% knockout ratio.....
His level of opposition is a concern though... His record sports a list of second rate fighters that did not have the potential to trouble him....
Wilder needs to crank it up a couple of gears.. He needs to fight some genuine contenders, put himself to the test...
We will not know his true potential whilst he keeps fighting bums... His potential will only be measured when he gets it on with some top ten guys..
He is a tomato. He hasn't fought anyone and has no legs.
At age 27 with an undefeated record of 27 and 0 with all 27 by KO. Is the Bronze Bomber at 6'7" the real deal and what do you think his potential is.
