How tall should a heavyweight boxer be?

6'2, really any height is fine though, Mike Tyson was only 5'10 but was chopping guys down that were 6'5+ with ease.

The HW division these days is filled with some pretty big guys with a couple of guys pushing 6'6-6'9 however they aren't very skilled, they're mostly slow, robotic and out of shape, their boxing is pretty crappy too. The HW division is by far the weakest in all of boxing, it has really reached a low point.

I don't know if there's an "ideal" height, but the average height for a heavyweight is probably about 6`2 - 6`3.

Reach is more important than height.

im not sure what u mean by is there a ideal height for heavyweight but according to mike tyson the average heavyweight is 6'2 or 6"3 heres the video

Ideally, he should be at least 6'2", but of course, you also have to consider the fighter's body type and physique. There are heavyweights who are shorter but have compact, muscular bodies like Tyson and David Tua. Despite their disadvantage in height, they more than made up for it with their strength and immense speed and quickness.

The average is now about 6'4" while some still are 6'1" to 6'8" ..........

I mean I want to compete in that division when Im older and I get that it's about weight and skill and I get that most aspects of natural height cannot be changed but Im curious to know if there is a ideal height for heavyweight boxers?
