Mosley was past his prime. Cotto was too but had skill. Oscar was past his also. And Marquez was to small coming up from 135. Now the Corrales fight you have to give Mayweather complete credit for. Ortiz a young fighter but not elite
The reason this is a big fight is because Canelo is a very big guy with actual skills, a lot of other fighters can have speed and power but what they lack is skill. This is the reason why Cotto gave Mayweather problems. He knew when to attack and used his jab intelligently.
Canelo can box, punch and on top of that, he's an intelligent fighter. He knows how to put combinations together and use them effectivley. He's very young also. In his last fight with Trout, Canelo looked very good. He showed poise, head movement and ring generalship. The only thing you can knock him for is that he tired late in the fight.
To me this is why it's a big fight for the both. I expect it to be an explosive fight throughout. I expect Canelo to make Floyd fight. Similar to when he faced Hatton. Hatton just kept coming and coming until he got put on his ***.
I don't think Floyd can stop Canelo but it will be a great fight.
