Fighters get to a certain level where they can give everyone problems.
Mayweather had problems with Cotto, Oscar de la Hoya had problems with Mosley, Leonard had problems with Duran and the great Sugar Ray Robinson didn't walk through the great and extremely underrated Kid Gavilan at welterweight.
Slightly overrated as the case with many Puerto Rican fighters. I don't mean disrespect though because Cotto was good talent just slightly overrated.
His power never carried up from 140 pounds. That's where Cotto was best at.
He has a charging bull style, a very very good sparring partner.
