The biggest obstacle I see for Rigo is his age. He's a young 32, but 32 none the less so I don't know how moving weight divisions will affect him at this point in his career, unfortunately for him it's the only way he can get in there with fighters that draw mainstream crowds and along with it the big paydays that he deserves.
He's the only boxer in history with two different 100 fight win streak's. He deserves to be the next p4p king but i'm his biggest fan so I'm being biased. 140 is way to big. He's a natural 122 maybe 126 but no bigger. Especially not against broner who is really 147. He is way better than broner but just too small.
Almost KO him in the 12 th round. Noni could not touch him, won every round, even then 10 th, delivering clean powerful shots. Showed incredible speed and a defense few have in the pros. Talk about illusive, the guy is a master ! Felicidades mi sangre ! As far as he wants ! Rigo taught a lesson.
There's no reason for Rigo to jump up FOUR divisions to 140 when that's not his natural weight. Remember, Rigo is only 5ft4. He'd be seriously undersized in that division and his opponents may not respect his power, he may also have difficulty dealing with the hard punchers in that division, and putting on so much weight may reduce his speed.
Amazing, in my eyes he schooled Donaire except in the 10th round when Donaire clearly won it. He made Donaire Miss and made Donaire throw one punch at a time. Rigondeaux would beat the crap out of Broner. I think the only way to beat Rigondeaux is to knock him out, and I don't see anyone outboxing him.
I suspected it....when donaire acted like whatever happens, he did well in the sport. As to say if he loses....no real confidence going in. Congrats to Rigondeoux, he might make it far and all the way to facing the top fighters.
I told you all Rigondeaux would outbox Donaire. Donaire is a mediocre boxer with good brawling skills.
He will not be going anywhere, he is good but can't deliver a punch that could send people in the canvass. Pretty boring I won't pay a PPV for this guy, Marquez is the best.
Guillermo Rigondeaux just put on a boxing clinic in some people's eyes, and a boring fight to others. To me it was amazing to see such skill in that ring. I honestly am so impressed with him. My question is how far can he go in wieght and to what success? I can honestly see him steamrolling any and all competition up to 140 where he can fight some quality opponents. But at these lower wieghts I think every fight will be a waste of time. Can you imagine Guillermo V Broner at 140? WHEW! Anyway, what are your thoughts on the fight, and where can he go?
