When it is too bad to go outside I sometimes use this method to do interval work for my athletes
:
1. a running track, I'd suggest starting easily and gradually making it harder:
sprint a certain distance, then walk back to the start and sprint again. As you gain speed and stamina, increase the speed (or distance) of the sprint and then jog back to the start.
2. stairs (in a stadium, for example):
(Use the same technique as in # 1.
Jack up the speed to the fastest level, then get up on your toes, immediately.
turn the seed up high. make sure to wear shoes and the safety thing hook it to your shirt. Start slow and slowly go faster.
I run on my treadmill and instead of running everyday sometimes im going to do sprints instead. whats a good way to run sprints? should i sprint then jog, should i sprint then stop then go again. also how long should the sprints be ?
