How do I make my punches harder?

Jack kind of touched on the way to make punches harder, since in boxing power generates from the legs hips and shoulder rotation I recommend doing squats.

There are two different strengths in your punches.

The first one being explosive power which can be achieved with practice and can also depend on your natural ability/genes. To some extend speed is also accounted for power.

The other is your body weight. A lot of people are very heavy but don't tend to use their body weight when they punch, thus making them a weak opponent.

If you want to make your punches faster/harder i'd recommend dumbbells. Just hold them and punch in mid air. This makes you use to having that weight in your arms; once you let go of them your punches will feel a lot faster and harder. Doing this once won't do jack **** though, you have to be persistent and set yourself high goals.

To make your punches stronger first of all you need to get your technique and stance correct, if your stance isn't correct and you don't know how to throw a punch 99% of the time your punches are gonna be s**t!, I'd recommend watching some boxing tutorials on YouTube etc. some things you can do to make your punches more explosive is hit the punchbag a lot, learn to put your shoulder and hip through the punch, hope this helped!

Step into the punches never back up keep going forward use ur elbows if u have to they are sometimes better than ur fists

Well I fought this kid I hated so much and I won, but my punches are weak. All I did was wrestle him to the floor and took him down (that's all). When ever I punch him, its didn't hurt him at all!! So how do I make my punches a lot harder??
