OF COURSE EVEN MAYWEATHER WILL BE KO
Well, I've heard that the lower you hit on the jaw, the mandible area (especially the chin or side of the chin) would be more probable to result in a knockout. Is that true?
I was sparring a boxer about to debut as a pro, a bit smaller than me and about my weight ( he forgot his mouthguard but insisted on sparring) and I was only a newly amateur. I was able to use 8 oz gloves, I caught him with a straight right just below the ear on the upper right side of the jaw,(not behind) it knocked his head back a bit but only gave him a bit of a bruise and a swell. Thing is, I was a bit out of position and was literally standing, than in a stance and forgot to pivot or throw my whole body into that punch, so it was an arm punch. If I had thrown with perfect technique in that area would I have at least knocked him down? or is that very unlikely for anyone?
