Jones just hasn't been active after getting knocked out by Randall Bailey. He's not retired though, there's been talk of him fighting some guys in a return, but they've fell through for one reason or another.
There's no news about him and he has remained inactive since losing his bid for the then vacant IBF welterweight title versus Randall Bailey by 11th round KO in a fight held June 2012 he was dominating until he got caught. It was his only career loss in seven years as pro where he won 26 previous bouts, 19 by KO/TKO. Bailey (43-8, 37 by KO/TKO ) lost the IBF title to Devon Alexander in October 2012 and has not also returned to action since.
I checked the USA welterweight boxers list, Mike is no longer listed while Bailey is # 10.
I think he has retired.
Speaking of Randall Bailey, that dude is sick man!! Hes always knocking people out, i mean look at his resume, he pretty much knocked out everyone.( or got close) Talk about heavy handed for a skinny guy, People slept on Randall Baileys career thats sad. Probably bad promotion.
