Rigo has the best footwork and balance I've seen, his mobility will be too much for Garcia.
Though Rigo has one major flaw that could be his downfall, he keeps pawing with his right jab rather than snap it, it makes him suseptable to a well timed left hook over his right, in Rigo's last 2 fights, that was the only way he was hit, by a left over his lazy right
Rigo relies on his reflexes to draw opponents in with that technique, but as he gets older and his reflexes slow, if he keeps relying on his reflexes it could mean trouble cause he might not see that left hook in time, thats his only weakness
Rigo is my boy (as you can tell by my av), but I think Mikey would knock him out.
First off, Mikey is a lot bigger than Rigondeaux. I know it's only four pounds (eight now that Mikey won a belt at 130lb), but Rigo is a small dude.
Second, and this is the biggest thing to me, Rigo has been dropped on a few occasions already in his career. Mikey by far has more firepower than Donaire or Cordoba or Marroquin.
This would be a great fight. Obviously, it very likely wouldn't be exciting, but it'd be a technical fight and a chess match between two of the highest level technicians in the sport. That's something I'd love to watch.
In the end, it's just like a said, Mikey has a sh*t ton of power and Rigo has shown an inconsistent chin. If the fight goes to decision then it'd be a toss up as to who wins, I'd actually favor Rigo if that were to happen, but I think it's more likely Rigo gets stopped during the mid to late rounds of a very competitive fight.
Garcia no longer fights at 126 lbs., remember? At any rate, I would pick the featherweight version of Garcia to win by bruising decision, possibly close unanimous or at least majority over the slick and defense-conscious Rigondeux. The elusive Rigo would make it hard for Garcia to mount any sustained offensive but given Garcia's punch accuracy and the damage it causes on the opponent as well as Garcia's work rate, the judges would be hard put also not to favor the Mexican in their score cards. Rigo would be able to put in his share of licks too on Mikey but nothing of the type that would deter much less impair him. On the other hand, Mikey's threat of finishing the fight at any moment would be there from the opening bell to the last, putting Rigo on perpetual defensive and movement.
Guillermo rigondeaux can't hold a decent shot.
Mikey is equally as skillful & smart.
Garcia would win a UD.
rigo has enough power to spare from jr. to full featherweight...
am tellin you not even mikey can rock rigos new chin...
rigos speed and power will b too much for mikey just like the donaire fight! and mikey aint no fool to fight a freak like rigo...so rigo will just make the best show out of agbeko
Mikey would run through as if Rigo wasn't there.lol
