He did get hurt for a moment there, but like you said his recovery time was excellent and he ended up hurting Senchenko again in that same round.
Brook is definitely an elite fighter. I don't question his chin, what worries me about him is more so his stamina and if he'll fade late in hard fights.
Yes, it was a good solid win for Kell Brook. He did what he needed to
do, win and win impressively and he got revenge for Ricky Hatton. He
needs to submit his own legacy and stop trying to mimic Prince NAZ
also, Kell Brook has received a lot of criticism for avoiding to fight his
mandatory opponent Devon Alexander (three) times. Even Amir Khan
did say "I knew Kell Brook would avoid fighting Devon Alexander" that
is a match that British fans would want to see, they could sell out the
Wembley Arena in a heartbeat. I think that's the match we should see
next, Kell Brook vs. Amir Khan in the United Kingdom providing Floyd
"Money" Mayweather doesn't elect to fight Amir Khan in May of 2014.
About time Kell wins impressively and in so doing got his taking power checked. But Paulie Malignaggi also stopped the Russian and did it more impressively than Kell did only Kell did it in less rounds than Paulie. The verdict is still out on Kell. I think he should be fighting the likes of Bailey, Thurmann and Maidana for better gauge of his potentials for a world title.
He defeated a fringe contender the way he was supposed to. If he didn't get a KO l would be surprised as Paulie took him out in 11. Brook though still needs to keep challenging higher level opponents for us to measure where he is. Maidana, Broner, or Khan would be great tests for him.
He is still far away from elite though.
Kell brook looked impressive against a gamed opponent. Now it's time to see Kell against world class opposition.
First of all, I missed the fight. I went on Boxingscene to see what the result was and saw that Brook had knocked Senchenko out in round 4, so I thought to myself, job done, good result.
Then I read the comments below the article, and all it seems to be is people saying Brook got wobbled by Senchenko who has no power, Brook will get KO'd by this guy and that guy, Brook has no chin, etc.
So then I fight the fight and watch it.
All I can say is anyone who thinks that getting wobbled by an equilibrium shot that bounces of the top of your head, means you have a weak chin, doesn't know anything about boxing. I think Brooks legs were shaky for all of 5 seconds before he was clear again.
It was a good win for Brook and he won the way he was supposed to win.
Thoughts?
