Not necessarily. Golovkin is a very good puncher but he leaves himself open for shots as well. The reason why Barker, Macklin, and especially Murray gave Martinez problems was because they came behind a peek a boo defense. Martinez was able to break down Barker and Macklin, but Murray was a bit tougher and quicker with his punching. Golovkin took some good shots in his last fight although his opponent was smaller and not a particularly dangerous puncher.
I think Golovkin has a good chance at beating the Martinez that showed up last Saturday, but Maravilla still has the power to hurt many a fighter and Golovkin is not a defensive wizard.
could well do , if Martinez fights with hands so low as he does i would think GGG would land at least once which could be enough , but Martinez would start favourite .
