Gerry Cooney, for about a year or two, was one of the hottest sensations in boxing.Even though he could of fought more contemporary contenders in his day( and this hurt him against Larry Holmes), he devastated Ron Lyle, stopped Jimmy Young in a good fight, and destroyed what was left of Ken Norton. Wladimir has beaten Samuel Peter, Hasim Rahman, and David Haye, among others, and has maintained control of the title for a long time. Cooney has the power definitely to hurt Wladimir, but I think Klitschko has more than enough experience to weather the storm,and score a 11th round TKO.

Both are tall. Both can punch. Neither can take a punch. Wladimir is the better boxer but Gerry Cooney is the faster starter. Wlad need a few rounds to warm up. Gerry has stamina problem so he will come out fast like he did against Ken Norton. Since neither has strong chin, whoever land clean first will win. Again there are 2 scenarios. Either Gerry comes out fast and KO Wlad in the first 3 rounds or the fight goes past the 7th round and Wlad KO Gerry. The later are more likely to happen since Wlad has improve much since he was KO by Corrie Sanders.
