I wish you did not qualify Foreman anymore because while the younger George was courageous, strong, aggressive, explosive and impetuous, that version was also brash, impatient and did not know how to adjust to the opponent and pace himself well. On the other hand, the older George while slower and did not possess the same dreadful power and explosiveness, was more poised, disciplined, smart, adaptable, patient, more punch resistant but as deadly with his heavy hands.
I will pick Foreman, the combination of the young and the old, to beat Lewis by TKO after 12 rounds.
A "young" George Foreman was smaller but faster than the 90's virgin but still had a great deal of power ,Lennox Lewis was about the same size as a young George Foreman and also had power.
A young Foreman was tested by another fighter his size named Ron Lyle which was a battle but Ron Lyle wasn't exactly as mobile as Lennox Lewis.
Lennox Lewis was as big and punched just as hard if not harder than Ron Lyle on top of his boxing skills and mobility and he would maximize those skills and take full advantage of Foreman being a flat footed fighter.
Just because a fighter has never been 15 rounds doesn't mean he's not capable. Lennox Lewis by 15th round UD.
Foreman. Lennox didn't have the movement to get away from, nor the chin to absorb George's neverending onslaught. A great jab, which Lewis had, isn't gonna keep a guy like Foreman away. Foreman gets him out of there in a couple rounds.
IDK....but just watch the mohamed ali vs foreman fight, and picture it if ali was slower and had an average chin.
I think that the only reason Lewis beat Tyson, is cuz Lewis copied Buster Douglas' right uppercut style, to beat a shot Tyson. All Lewis had was a left jab and that was it and he might have gotten beat. But Tyson lost embarrassingly bad though.
foreman beats lewis very easily the first time....maybe 4-6 rds....then lewis as always takes time off, works foreman out and possibly draws or loses a split dec/late stop second time around.
If Oliver McCall and Haseem Rahman could KO Lennox, Foreman could too.
