Danny Garcia is the naturally bigger guy and has a solid chin while Gamboa has a suspect chin ,they both have good skills but Gamboa has faster hands than Garcia.
Having a suspect chin and moving up in weight to fight an elite boxer/puncher would be too much for Gamboa to overcome ,a perfect example is the fight between Broner and Maidana.
Garcia by 9th round KO.
Gamboa has a style that would give even the very best boxers who operate from distance problems. Hes an ambush type fighter like Roy Jones, instead of cutting off distance or putting on pressure, Gamboa can jump in and out of range with little to be countered. That style requires not only hand speed but also footspeed.
Stylistically this favors Gamboa but he was dropped something like 9 times, and Mikey does have real power. I can see him KOing Gamboa late or dropping to win a UD. Not sure which but Im leaning Mikey cause he does have decent boxing skills and very good power
Garcia or as I like to call him Next the man can flat out box he waste nothing and his ring I Q is threw the roof he is one of the next big name in boxing IMO as far as Gamboa goes he has a lot of power and speed but he lacks Ring I Q and so that is why he always gets punished by counter puncher interesting fight but i think Garcia runs away with this 9th round TKO
Draw- Garcia will counter punch him all fight, but Gamboa does more damage.
Garcia. Gamboa doesn't even know what kind of fighter he is. Garcia does. He also has power while Gamboa has a suspect chin.
I am for Gamboa on this one. I like fighters who get up from knockdowns to take their opponents to school the rest of the way.
Garcia will outbox and counter every thing gamboa throws. That ring rust will show big time.

Danny Garcia should win. Both men are knock out type fighters but Garcia simply boxes better while Gamboa relies too much on athleticism.

Mikey went up to dodge his would-be mandatory challenger Vasyl Lomachenko who is arguably the greatest amateur in boxing history. The kid is real good, Salino has been trying to make excuses to dissuade promoters from making him fight Vasyl.
Mikey Garcia went up because like Donito Donaire; he doesn't want his hype train to come to a stop against a man with amateur experience.
Mikey left featherweight without fighting the best in the division [Salino was never the best] and it wasn't because he was having trouble making weight.
Gamboa got knocked down once by a cab driver in his last fight. Probably will be Garcia KO before round 6, though the fight will more than likely be a complete snooze fest.
