Absolutely he was. That was worse than a daylight robbery, he got absolutely shafted in there tonight by the referee, no way was that a stoppage. World title on the line, Groves nowhere near in the kind of trouble that even warrants the ref to even give a standing 8 yet alone call an end to proceedings, I have to wonder if Mr Foster had other interests tonight and saw his 'bonus' slipping away before his eyes as Groves dominated Froch.
I had it 78-74 for GG at the time of the stoppage, Froch is a lucky, lucky boy. He's taking about a rematch because he knows Groves was robbed there but deep down I don't think Froch wants any more of that.
What I would say though is Groves seemed to be losing his discipline after the 6th and the gameplan didn't appear to be getting executed as it was in the first half but Froch deserves credit too, he took some big shots, climbed off the canvas and didn't stop fighting, he is a warrior but he lost tonight, no arguments.
Andrew you were right my friend. George Groves had a better chance
than, everyone was giving him. Even going into the fight Groves never
disrespected Carl Froch, that was always Carl Froch disrespecting in
telling George Groves that he wasn't ready for the "big stage" Froch's
reign will end soon if he's man enough to give George Groves a shot a
title in a re-match, Groves would dethrone Froch and I believe DeGale
could beat Carl Froch too. That was a disgraceful stoppage, it seemed
as if the fight was somehow fixed that if Carl Froch were to be in trouble
going in late into the fight, a premature stoppage would be the best way
to end the fight, ensuring Carl Froch would get the victory. Another thing
Carl Froch cant beat Andre "Son of GOD" Ward, even if the fight was to
be held in the United Kingdom, Carl Froch would just be looking to get a
lucky home run knockout punch thinking he could KO Ward like he did it
to Lucian Bute, that wont happen Ward isn't Bute, it would Rodriguez vrs.
Ward all over again, this time Andre Ward could probably knockout Froch.

Groves had Froch hurt just as bad (if not worse) on at least four occasions, yet this dumb f*ck ref didn't stop it?
It makes no sense, this c*nt should never ref a fight again, and those two moron judges that only had it 76-75 for Groves should be banned too.
I agree the fight was stopped too early and Froch should give Groves an immediate rematch.
Im still pissed. I wanted Froch to win, but not like this. Carl knows he got lucky and will likely look not to rematch George. Groves has.my respect as a fighter, put on a show.
This stoppage was disgraceful, it was even worst than the Calzaghe/Manfredo fight.
I have lost allot of respect for Froch after that post fight interview and gained allot more respect for groves.
If they do rematch i hope groves stops him.
Froch ducks rematch like most Brits do when they know they can't beat a fighter.
Worst stoppage I've ever seen!!!!
Groves gave Froch a boxing lesson for 8 rounds. Froch came back in the 9th and was having a good round but Groves took one good shot and was throwing back, wasn't going down, and the ref puts him in a headlock and drags him away from Froch while calling a halt to the fight! Absolute shake down!
Froch knows he got a gift, trying to justify the decision at the end of the fight, saying it was the right call. If Froch had been the one getting stopped like that he would have been incensed!
