GGG manager turned down fight with Erislandy lara?

Erislandy Lara is a high risk low reward fighter and boxing is a business.

As soon as legit MW will fight him. What would be the point of fighting Lara? No real reward in beating up a smaller guy and in the unlikely event he loses........with all the big $$ fights, it would give far too many excuses NOT to fight him.........

If Lara were to step up to 160 and actually win a belt and get a real following, he could get his shot......

One last thing to add, Golovkin is not promoted by Top Rank, he's promoted by K2 owned by the Wlad and Vitali. So I'm sure they could figure something out if they wanted to........but at this point, Golovkin gains nothing from fighting Lara, not much more than by fighting Murray either..

But again, let the other belt holders step up and unify!!

It's risk vs. reward in boxing. To suggest he's scared of anyone is ridiculous. It's very rare at that level. Guys that have fought their entire lives being 'afraid' to step in with anyone within the same rate is pretty ridiculous if you think about it. I was only an amateur in local rings but I'd fight anyone just to see if I could beat them.......particularly if they had a reputation of being a 'tough' or 'dangerous' opponent.

At the elite pro level?? The fighters aren't scared, the promoters and managers are guiding fighters towards maximizing their income. I GUARANTEE Golovkin would fight Lara tomorrow if he thought it would get him a shot at Martinez, Chavez Jr., etc. Any draw really........

Obviously it was turned down, Golovkin isn't allowed to fight Lara. Why is this difficult to understand?

Lara is w/ Golden Boy, and Golovkin is signed w/ HBO (who won't show ANY Golden Boy fighters). HBO has exclusive rights to Golovkin, he has no say in this matter at all.

It was a hollow offer on Lara's part. He may as well have sent an offer to fight Wlad Klitschko for ten million dollars in Cuba, that would've had a better chance of happening.

Lara isn't ranked in middleweight.

GGG team says their trying to fight top contenders in every other world organization aside from the WBA with the purpose of becoming a mandatory for Martinez or Quilins. If he succeeds they will have to fight him or vacate the title like Mayweather recently did when Pacquiao was his mandatory

GGG is great, but his scheduling is like the heavyweight Wilder's. Lara might of been smaller, but he beat much better competition, and his only loss is a robbery.

They don't want Lara, they don't want Ward, they don't want ranked Middleweights, they can't fights guys from Golden Boy (Quillin),... yet he's the next thing in boxing. By 20 fights Floyd was fighting the best. By 20 fights Ward was fighting the best.20 fights and he's fighting Adama.

Lara calling him out was a publicity stunt, due to the Goldenboy/Top Rank fued. Golovkin probably never even heard about it as he goes straight back to Kazakhstan after fights. It would be a fantastic fight though. PPV worthy in my view.

He is taking his time by moving up the ranks. I think K2 will give him tougher fights when he's ready.

Lots of stars but it's hard to make them fight.

I know it's pretty sad now the fools who were all ovee GGG's nutsack have shutup.

They are trying to give him another bum to feast on. His most recent opponents are Rosado, Curtis, Adama, and now Andy lee. His competition is horrible as of late. When is GGG going to fight ranked opposition besides Macklin?

Well he wouldn't be able to take that fight anyway.
