Floyd Mayweather Jr. winning via UD, or maybe SD if there's some corrupt judges who would have Trinidad winning.
Some judges are too biased while scoring for Trinidad. Take his fight against Oscar De La Hoya in 1999 for example. That's a robbery, although not a highway robbery. But, there's absolutely no chance Trinidad winning that night. Oscar won at least 7 rounds clearly. I have watched that fight over and over, and at worst I score it 115-113. No chance in hell Trinidad winning. I can't even score this fight even as a draw. The only rounds you could argue Trinidad was winning are round 1,9,10,11,12. Other than that, Oscar clearly won. Yet, judges gave Trinidad more than 6 rounds, which is no doubt a robbery.
His fight against Whitaker, yeah, Trinidad won. But, not by that much of a margin. I can't believe two judges scored it 117-110. I had it 115-112 Trinidad.
Mayweather would win against Trinidad, no doubt. But, there might be some robbery.
As De La Hoya was able to do for 7 or 8 rounds, Floyd would able to do for 11-12 rounds. Floyd Mayweather is to fast, slick and elusive for any version of Tito Trinidad minus a punchers chance that would be slim to none due to Floyd's incredibly tough defensive/ Philly shell/shoulder roll for any fighter to break and get in more than a single shot at one time. I would have Mayweather Jr. winning this fight presuming it was prime vs. prime by a very comfortable margin like 110-118 119-110 and 117-111.
Trinidad couldn't handle DLH. De la Hoya whooped his ***. I had it 9-3 for DLH. And Trinidad wouldn't be able to handle mayweather. Oscar almost beat Mayweather and Trinidad can't best oscar. That decision of Tito winning was worse than Pac vs Bradley lol
Tito Trinidad was undefeated at 147 and we may very well call this the battle of the undefeateds. Floyd is known for his defense but if we're to insist on that, Tito fought and beat Whitaker, whose defense i rate relatively higher than Floyd's. And in that fight, Tito broke Sweet Pea's jaw.
Tito stands at 5'11", Floyd is around 5"7' if im not mistaken. The reach, height, power all favor Tito. Tito's notable wins at welterweight were against the undefeated Oscar Dela Hoya, HEctor Camacho and Pernell Whitaker. Whereas, Floyd's best wins at Welter weight were against...............Carlos BAldomir???
The fight
Floyd will dance around Tito for the first couple of rounds. Trinidad follows MAyweather like a lost puppy and gets frustrated most of the times. But being the search and destroy type that Tito was, Trinidad knew he'll land soon. Tito corners Floyd, that shoulder roll feels good. Floyd smiles, and escapes and comes right back at Tito. Round 4, Floyd knew he's way ahead on points, Tito still aggressive and comes on Floyd using that peek -a boo.Once again Tito corners Floyd on the ropes in round 6, Money still employs that Philly shell with chin tucked in. Tito throws a barrage of punches and hits hard on Floyd. Punch lands anywhere but on May's shoulder. Too bad it broke, never in Floyd's career has he fought someone who hits hard as Tito. Round 7, Trinidad had no idea of the predicament FLoyd got, MAy now with one good right had, throws one punch at a time. Tito noticed this, TIto now gaining some rounds. Round 8,9,10 were all Tito's. Tito tries to finish Floyd, man the guy was so slick. Round 12 comes to a finish. Tito knew he had a comfortable lead and Floyd still wandering if the early rounds save the day for him.
Final Verdict
- Clear UD for the pride of Puerto Rico, Felix Tito Trinidad.
Floyd would outbox Tito. Tito couldn't handle all of the movement like we saw against Guerrero or Marquez.
