Mohammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson and later in life the whole Hagler, Hearns, Duran and Leonard saga.
Robinson, Marciano, Moore, Fulmer, Cleveland Williams
Tommy Hearns without a doubt
Muhammad Ali was my favorite. He was very entertaining and he "floated like a butterfly and stung like a bee."
For those of us that started to follow boxing at an early age, What fighter or fighters were your favorite childhood memories of? And were they responsible for getting you hooked as a fan on boxing?
I was 10 years old when Cassius Clay won the title from Sonny Liston. My friend's dad took us to a local pool hall that had the fight on two little TV's in the place. We were just so excited to be there. It was awesome. A lot of unhappy drunks that night. I had to root for Ali in secret. I'll never forget it. And I have been hooked ever since. Ali is still my favorite to this very day.
