I've seen Khan dropped by Willie Limond, knocked out twice, and hurt on other occasions. He's got a lot of heart and is very tough, but his chin/legs are relatively weak.
IT is what it is. Even if somebody doesn't think he has a bad chin, they can't say it's good either. I agree about his style though, it's kind of like James Kirkland.
Both are so aggressive and offensive oriented that when they get caught, it's always very clean and in the middle of an exchange. Not good when that happens.
As much as i love to feel it since im an amir khan fans...I cant feel it...feel me....
Means that i dont believe he improved alot under virgil hunter...Improve a little,very little...But thats about it, once a stronger & aggressive fighter pressure him...I still believe he will kiss the canvass...
Short answer...Yes, I still think Khan has a weak chin.
its more than just the three losses.
he was also pretty close to Queer Street in the Madania fight, and i believe he was knocked down early in his career as well....
buts its more than just that too ..... Kahan gets RUBBER LEGS when he gets hurt. when he gets knocked out, he gets KTFO !! you know i'm sayin?
Ok... A lot of you guys have Khan down as chinny.... That's fair enough, and everybody is entitled to their opinion..
But lets have a look at the facts:
Khan has has 30 fights
He has suffered three defeats
He boasts a 64% knockout ratio
Lets examine the three defeats:
1) Prescott - Yeah, got caught cold - No excuse.
2) Peterson - Shocking decision, later to discover peterson was on peds.
3) Garcia - Got caught with a shocker.... No excuse.
The defence:
1) Khan took the Prescot fight to lightly.. He had just bought his first $200k porsche car the same day.. his head wasn't on the job in hand.
2) The Peterson fight was ridiculous... Not discussing a verified cheat.
3) Garcia cauht Khan with a peach of a punch.... Khan was all over him up to that point.
Lets not forget... Garcia nailed him good.. Yet Khan still got up and carried on... Whilst still dazed, he took the fight to Garcia before getting nailed again.... And still got up to beat the count...?
What about Maidana?? Khan took an enormous punch early in the round.... He weathered the storm, and went on to win!
Freddie Roach only knows one way to fight - Go all out - Nothing less! Khan has been led astray, every fight had to be a war....
Now.. Under the talented Virgil Hunter, I hope Khan can use his boxing brain over aggression, and go on to replace Mayweather when the time is right...
