lol here comes the ppl saying water can kill u

No not at all unless you are trying to make weight that day or something. only thing it could do is make you have that bloated feeling in the ring but it really shouldnt.

I don't know if it will affect your boxing, but I do know that it is definitely possible to drink too much water. My friend's mother drank too much water/always felt thirsty and ended up with something called "water poisoning." That's basically when you have diluted everything in your system so much that you've created deficiencies. It turned out that she had a medical condition. But the reality is that most people don't drink enough water, so maybe what you think seems like too much based on the amount most people drink is actually not.

Too much water can be harmful. If you are always thirsty its a sign of severe dehydration. Drink small amounts at a regular pace but dont over do it. If you start to vomit or become disorientated than ask a professional, thats another sign of dehydration sickness.

Yes, drinking too much water is bad for you and, yes, it could potentially kill you too. There is such a thing as water intoxication or water poisoning and it occurs when one has too much water, usually within a short span of time. I know one doesn't normally associate water as being one of the causative factors for death. But, as they say, excess of anything can be bad, and in the case of water, excess can potentially kill. Generally, in day-to-day life we don't normally consume too much water. We generally only have as much as we require, as indicated by the feeling of thirst. When our thirst is quenched, we are satiated and no longer keep drinking. So, in the normal course, water intoxication is rare. In fact, many health experts advocate drinking adequate amounts of water for its health benefits. For certain ailments too, drinking adequate amounts of water is essential - ailments such as kidney stones. Adequately hydrating oneself can prevent formation of kidney stones, which is one of the most painful medical conditions around. However, you do need to be careful about drinking excessive amounts of water.

problem is, that it was not even my training day, it was a day off and all day long i was really thirsty, and all day long i was drinking, some moments even loads of water in about half an hour.

can it affect my boxing abilities?
