Donaire vs Rigodeaux Recap?

A Rigo is the only fighter in boxing history with two different 100 fight win streaks, he's in my top 2 p4p along with floyd.

B Donaire underestimated rigo's experience. Experience in the amateaurs translates well for rigo because he has perfected his skills, timing etc.

C I had it 115 113 for rigo it was close Rigo controlled more round's and nonito never let his hands go. He fought the wrong fight and waited too long. Nonito should have applied intense pressure from the begenning but that's easier said than done with a sharpshooter like rigo. I'd like to see the rematch to see What adjustment's Nonito can make to take the fight or Rigo can make to get a clear cut victory. I would have also liked to have seen Rigondeaux go to the body more.

A) Yes he is in my top 10 easily.

B) That's his own personal problem. Every fighter says they didn't train hard when they lose, I don't buy it. He had slipped out of my top 10 after that horrible performance.

C) I thought HBO had it right. I gave Donaire 1 round other than the down with the knockdown. Every other round I gave to Rigo. He dominated the fight.

I have Rigondeaux at #2 on the Pound-for-pound list.

I agree with HBO on there score of the fight 118-109. The only round that Donaire won was the 10th where he scored a knockdown.

I knew Rigondeaux was gonna own Donaire in this fight.

The Cuban camp is clever. They knew that if they fight Donaire along pro boxing line, they run the risk of losing, So they simplified the situation. They allowed Rigo employ what he does best--the amateur style of fighting where his speed, better footwork and lateral movements and punching accuracy are premium. Nonito never got untracked to impose the pro style of fighting and got sucked in a fight similar to a Olympic boxing finals. So what can we expect. The better Olympian won--handily, Note that Nonito did not even make it to the US Olympic boxing team losing to---irony of irony, recent title loser, Brian Viloria. Simple as that.

I suspected that donaire was going to lose to the powerhouse southpaw after hearing donaire act like whatever happens, he and his wife are happy to have a child and have succeeded as far as he did in boxing.

Congrats to Rigondeoux, and i look forward to seeing more of his fights. He's getting up there now.

Enjoy that *** whooping. The dogeaters need another tsunami.

A) I'm completely impressed with Rigodeaux. Modern day Pernell Whitaker(if he becomes more offensive.) I underestimated him 100%, and his camp.

Do you have him in your top ten P4P now?

B) Donaire. He is still an elite fighter. He said it flat out, he didn't study or train 100% at all. I think he needs Garcia with him his entire camp.

Where do you have him P4P now?

C) How did you score the fight? I had it 116-113 for Rigo. HBO was way off, Donaire was only really dominated the last round when he got hurt bad. Lampley's eyes have gone it seems, not giving Bradley any credit against Pac, not giving Rios the credit he did in Alvarado 2 with the uppercuts in late rounds. I don't expect him to be perfect, but not far from it. I still like HBO more than Showtime, 24/7 kicks the **** out of All Access.
