Does Yahoo boxing forum satisfy your expectations..?

Posted at: 2015-04-20
This forum is the only one i contribute to, I visit others but find this one the best. You get to know the regulars and build up sort of friendships with them and as you say there are many diverse nationalities and opinions.

There can be boring times when there are not many questions being asked and there can also be trolling, although that seems to have died down a lot, fingers crossed.

On the whole though there are interesting questions and knowledgeable and interesting answers, I have learned quite a bit on here but I can't name any contributor in particular who I have learned most off of because there are many.

As with you there are about a dozen or more who I would rate five star contributors and one mad Irishman with a Larry Holmes fetish.........

As of now it does. I used to belong to other boxing sites that are now defunct, and am still looking for a boxing site with a good forum that is easy to navigate through. They are as hard to find as hen's teeth.

It took me a while, here on Yahoo to adjust. But since I have, I love it.

Regarding who I admire the most, there are just too many people that I am still learning from to name just one person as the best. Sean and you and Flash and Hairy Guy and so many others are still schooling me. And I'm old.

Even the guys that rub me the wrong way, I couldn't do without. It's just part of why this forum works so well.

And I would say that there is way more then a dozen people on here that know their stuff. Some just aren't on as often as others. Don't know if I answered your questions, but I'm in. Yahoo boxing doe fill a void for me.

There are at least three or four dozen very respectable contributor's at this forum that have taught me a great deal over the years, and a couple who raised the bar even higher than that and changed me as a person. Santanna D was in my opinion the best and there were a sizable number of us who had an actual emotional attachment to the man, he was a great teacher and a true warrior. I am a huge fan of contributors like Pancho, Smitty and and even a fan of Americansfavoritethug and Aceman.

I seem to keep coming back. I like the fact that everything is user generated, taken from personal knowledge, or gleaned from the interwebs. I have been to other forums where there are contributors who blog or write articles and the comment sections there are just flame war after flame war. Not that it doesn't happen here, but at least you learn who to avoid and have a range of question types.

All the guys you mentioned plus when Galactus danes to pay us a visit.

Yeah i love this forum , i've met many true Boxing fans on here .

I don't really know anyone in my personal life with a Boxing passion like my own so this forum has let me share the love of Boxing with others.

There are some contributors on here that are awesome , i don't want to name names just in case i rudely forget someone .

Unfortunately i don't get the time to log on as much anymore due to my crazy life . I think last year i was on here every day, which was awesome.

Not really. I find that there aren't enough boxing forums around because boxing isn't such a big sport compared to the main ones. There are some annoying questions (rhetorical / biased / obvious...) and usually not enough questions / answers to questions. There still are a few annoying people who support one boxer and on boxer only and they constantly talk about how great they are in their rhetorical questions such as 'Isn't XXX the best boxer ever?'

However there are some intelligent people around who are quite helpful, but I quite like going on ESPN Boxing to read what Rafael has to say, he is decent.

BQ: I don't really know any others that are popular enough to use.

BBQ: Not on particular person but many, including you. You answered some of my questions too.

I like this forum the best. Other forums seem to have more in fighting and seem to be more about arguing than boxing.

I learn a lot from toughguy about boxing from back in the day. Sean G and Stick and Move know a lot about American boxing. Mark W and Jose Martinez had great all round boxing knowledge. I learnt a lot about British boxing from Dave, Richard, Joshua and yourself. There are many people on here who know a lot about Asian boxing, Kz and JON come to mind.

I could name a lot more people who I have learnt many things from but I'll be here all day!

There is no better boxing forum than here....Some boxing forum is worst than NBA section...Troll sucks and retard...I like it here thats why im still here....

BBQ: Everybody....

Thank you for the plug...................It's appreciated. Although I don't ask many questions,Ithoroughlyy enjoy this forum. The only other that I'm aware of is Sherdog.com whichhighlightss my boxing equipment line. I respect all that keep the color line out of it as IMO the only color in boxing is gr$$n..

Ok... I find this forum very enlightening. There is a good cross section of diverse nationality's that regularly contribute here.

For me personally, I have enjoyed discovering the huge Mexican following.. They would be the equivalent of the Ricky Hatton army of supporters... Mad!

Sean G has a remarkable knowledge of what's happening... The amount of times I have googled this guy's questions is unreal ! Bilboxing is an encycopedia of everything with a glove on it...

I have contributed to many boxing forums, but I still find Yahoo has the best knowledge...

Boxing Question: Is there a better forum somewhere else than Yahoo?

BBQ: Which regular guy on Yahoo did you learn most off?

** Everybody respects somebody... There are around a dozen guys on this forum that I would rate as 5 star boxing contributors **
