Idiotic morons think Mexican is a race. Races are white, black, Asian, and Native. Canelo would fit into a white person. Why? Because people from Latin America are either White, Mestizo( euro-native mixed), mullato(Afro-Indian mix), or mixed with everything. Or just plain Native. Some mestizos are more euro than Indian while vice versa. But Canelo on the other hand is a White Latin American. He probably has no Native in him at all or very little. But yes he's a White man by race, Hispanic by culture, and Mexican by nationality because he was born in Mexico. If he was born in American he'd be an American of Mexican descent. But in Boxing language no one cares about race, heritage or anything just where they're from and their Descent. So idiots of course and a bunch of butt Hurt moron mexicans who think they know what race and culture is will get mad at you and say "No he's Mexican not white" but no he is a White man by race.
a lot of white people are trying to claim latin american and hispanic fighters as white...they really need a hero or someone to root for. i've even heard someone claim sergio martinez is a white boxer because he has greek blood. maybe you're not use to looking at hispanics but lucas doesn't look white to me. what's next is Marcos Madiana chinese? he calls himself chino..is mayweather jr a pygmy because he's short. lets just call canelo cinnamon..not white
Yes they're white. It doesn't matter what country you come from, your skin is either white, brown or mixed. Canelo quite clearly falls in to the first category
No he's Mexican it just matters of the race not your skin color or hair color
Fighters like he and Lucas Matthysse are from Latin American countries but have many "white" features (red hair, white skin, etc). Should they not be considered white? please tell me what you think.
