Depends.
Mayweather is a technical genius in boxing, and we saw that in the Marquez fight. Essentially, he could retire right now and probably make it into the Hall of Fame, but he would be known for ducking Pacquiao (even though I personally feel he didn't duck Pacquiao.)
It's all in the hands of the fans- would Mayweather fans rather see him retire with an undefeated record, or have him lose a few fights the way a true champion goes out?
Everytime he steps between the ropes the risk of defeat gets bigger...
Floyd Mayweather is fighting two opponents each time:
1) A top ranked contender
2) Old Father Time
The second guy has an awesome record.... He certainly takes no prisoners....
Depends on who he fights and the circumstances ,if he fights Saul Canelo Alvarez and breaks his hand or something ,he could very well lose if he either quits or can't fight effectively.
If Floyd's future opponents have the good ability and intelegence to beat him then yes. The fighters that i think would have a chance to beat him is Canelo and Pac-Man.
If my fighter Canelo can't pull the upset, then maybe not. But later on, for sure.
It's possible, but I don't think so.
I sure hope so
