Lying about the athlete's size is common in all sports.
I partied with Lou DiBella back in the day and he told me height is not measured for fights. It is only the weight that matters. That is why they have weight classes and not height classes in boxing. As far as the height goes, they simply just ask the fighter how tall he is and they always add about two inches guaranteed. But only if they are under six feet tall because ast that height nobody has any use to exagerate. Lying about height is pretty standard for celebrities whether in sports or in film. I met Tom Cruise once and he had some high heeled shoes on which made him about 5'7. So I figure without tall shoes he is closer to 5'5. Guys always lie about everything because we are naturally competitive and seizing up the other guy. Same thing goes for penis size. I tell my girfriends all the time that I'm seven inches. Of course I start the measurement from my ashole.
I hear that in most sports height measurement is taken in shoes, so that could add 1-2 inches to someones actual height.
Most people and their dog lie about their height. For boxers, only about half inch to an inch and a half.
Not that much as compared with basketball, where, in the NBA, players pump their height by as much as 3 inches.
They can't do that. Being weighed and having your height measured is required before each match. If they cheated they would be banned from boxing.
yeah, they dont measure your height they only weigh you before fights. they just ask you how tall you are like when you get your license.
compare yourself to vitali klistchko and see if hes shoulder height to you.
Who gives a sh!t...they'll kick your ***!
HAHAHA I start my measurement from my asshole..
Give that dude the best answer!!!!
Do they lie when it comes to height stats?
Pacquiao is 5'6'' and a half( haha half)
De La hoya is 5'11''
Mayweather is 5'8''
Guerrero is 5'8''
Cotto is 5'7''
Nonito is 5'6''
Broner is 5'7''
I don't know if you've ever stood close to these guys or seen them in person, but no way they're height is correct.
Pac looks like a midget, he's probably 5'2''
De la hoya is not 5'11'' no way, I'm 5'11'' and he was at about shoulder height compared to me.
Mayweather looks like 5'4''-5'6'
Cotto looks like a midget, bigger than pacquiao
Donaire is another little guy, who looks like a horse jockey
Broner looks like a roided up midget, his shoulders are out of proportion, and just looks weird as hell . Like he was born with a birth defect. Seriously, if you ever wanna see a real pro-boxer find him. He's a weird looking dude. Like a potato.
Don't believe the stats! They're all lies
