Like other athletes and actors, the huge majority don't make enough money to live on without working a second job.
I figured I could pick up cans on the side of the road and make more money per hour than the time I spent in the gym getting ready for a fight.
Only about 1% make the big bucks you hear about on the news.
I would guess about 95% of professional boxers have second jobs, its pretty tough to earn a living from boxing alone. Floyd Mayweather's second job is being the CEO of Mayweather Promotions & Bernard Hopkins has a second job as a executive of GoldenBoy promotions and they are at the top of professional boxing. I am certain the vast majority of other boxers have less lucrative jobs, but almost all of them have to support their families by additional means other than boxing.
Yes, unless they are highly ranked and making big money. I know one fighter who has fought on TV several times and he is working at an automobile shop in Gary, Indiana.
true.. Pacquiao is a Politician + businessman
yeah they do k
I know that the only fighters who make a good living are the high ranked fighters. But the guys at the bottom or the club fighters are they ordinary blue collar workers as well? Can anyone name a boxer who is pretty well known but still has a day job?
